The Citroen C4 family is welcoming its latest member, a sedan called the C4 X. Based on the standard hatchback, it will be offered exclusively as an EV in Germany, while other markets will get hybrid and petrol versions later (no further details available).
As a rule, Citroen tends to put the letter X on its off-road vehicles, but the C4 has always been positioned as a cross-country-capable car with a rugged body kit and increased ground clearance. The new sedan is longer than the hatchback at 4 meters 60 centimeters (nearly 180 inches) and offers more trunk space, too. This puts it just below the C5 X in terms of body length.
Powering the all-electric variant is a single motor rated at 136 PS (134 hp / 100 kW). A 50-kWh traction battery grants it up to 360 km (223 miles) of driving range on a charge. All other specifications remain to be disclosed.
