Stellantis will be investing €160,000,000 into designing and producing another electric car, Reuters reports. It will allegedly be styled as a crossover SUV and reach the dealerships in 2025.
The model will be based on the STLA Medium platform. Provisionally known as the CR3, it will come to replace the current Citroen C5 Aircross (see the gallery and the video), which is available in petrol, diesel and hybrid variants.
The investment funds will be spent on upgrading the Stellantis factory in Rennes, France. A new traction battery manufacturing facility is scheduled for construction there along with a production line for injection-molded plastic parts.
