The British division of Cupra has announced the Ateca Limited Edition, which will emerge in a batch of just 100 cars sporting exclusive stylistic features. Aside from that, customers will be able to opt for the ABT Pack by ABT Sportsline.
The Limited Edition itself encompasses 20-inch wheels, 18-inch Brembo brakes, and numerous copper-tinted body accents. 20 cars will additionally be getting Akrapovic exhausts. Inside, the dash and infotainment screens will come encased in black bezels, while copper and carbon fiber inserts will adorn the entire interior. The heated bucket seats will come trimmed with Petrol Blue Alcantara.
For its own part, the ABT Pack mentioned above will boost the standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine from its 300 hp (298 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque to 350 Nm (261 kW) and 440 Nm (325 lb-ft). A DSG transmission is used to send the momentum to all four wheels.
On an interesting side note, the added horsepower and torque did nothing to improve the acceleration performance of the SUV, which still does 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.9 seconds. On the plus side, they do raise the top speed from the 245 km/h (152.2 mph) of the non-tuned Ateca Limited Edition to 255 km/h (158.4 mph).
The standard Rhodium Grey Cupra Ateca Limited Edition will retail for £42,120 and above, whereas its Graphene Grey counterpart with the Akrapovic exhaust system on board will start from £45,160.
