Cupra toys with the idea of its own metaverse

Cupra has unveiled its development strategy for the next several years. Called the Cupra2, it envisions doubling sale volumes this year and doubling the assortment of cars offered within the next few years.

Four new vehicles are already in development, including two previously announced ones. The Tavascan EV will come out in 2024 followed by an unnamed battery hatchback in 2025.

The other two models remain unknown, but Cupra says both will emerge in late 2020s. There is little doubt that both will be all-electric, too: the Spanish marque plans to enter the third decade of the 21st century free from outdated internal combustion tech.

Another major launch concerns the metaverse, rather than cars. Cupra’s newly launched website named MetaHype.com lets streamers, content creators, famous brand representatives and regular users to meet and interact with each other.
