Cupra unveiled the Tavascan Concept at the 2019 Frankfurt IAA and later confirmed its plans to launch production in 2024. The electric crossover SUV has since been spotted testing on the street multiple times, but only as a mule. Today, we finally get to see its own exterior.
The spy shots come from Sweden. The camo is still there, but it doesn’t hide the main design features. As expected, the production-bound Tavascan looks less smooth than its prototype, but at the same time less bloated than the Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV and VW ID.5 GTX twins. The overall impression is that the Tavascan is slightly smaller than its MEB-based relatives.
For the powertrain, Cupa’s latest SUV will most likely get dual electric motors with slightly more than 300 horsepower (224 kW) combined. The production will take place in China.
