California-based startup Czinger Vehicles will introduce a new hypercar called 21C Blackbird Edition at The Quail show tomorrow, August 18. Here is a short video highlighting the features of the car.
The name ‘Blackbird’ is closely associated with the Lockheed SR-71 supersonic spy plane in the United States, and Czinger is far from being the first automaker to reference it in its product lineup.
Judging by the video, the Blackbird is largely based on the standard 21C model. It is finished in black and comes adorned with its own, special logo, but that’s it.
The original Czinger 21C is a mid-engined coupe powered by a 2.88-liter twin-turbo V8 engine and two electric motors. The combined output amounts to 1,267 PS (1,250 hp / 932 kW). It remains to be seen whether the Blackbird Edition is any different in this regard.
