Romturingia has started taking pre-orders for a custom pickup truck based on the second-gen Dacia Duster chassis. Prices in Romania begin from €22,546.
Compared to the crossover SUV it is based upon, the truck is 20mm (0.8”) shorter, but has 14mm (0.55”) of extra ground clearance. The tailgate is made of composite materials, and the rear end generally does a nice job mimicking the original design of the car.
The car comes powered by a 1.5-liter diesel engine rated at 115 hp (86 kW) and 260 Nm (192 lb-ft) of torque, which connects to a six-speed manual transmission and AWD system. The carrying capacity does not exceed 500 kilograms (1,100 lbs).
Romturingia only ships its trucks in white body color. Standard features include 16-inch wheels, four airbags and hill climb/descent assists.
