Dacia Duster LCV gets updated for the next model year in UK

Customers in Great Britain can already preorder the refreshed Dacia Duster LCV, which looks indistinguishable from its SUV cousin except for tinted rear windows where the cargo bay is. Prices start at £14,000.

Modifications are scarce. There are new badges and logos all around, a redesigned radiator grille and a different steering wheel. The list of trim options is smaller than that of the passenger version, but such basics as alloy wheels, a touch-sensitive infotainment screen and reversing camera are available.

There is only one seat row inside followed by a level floor covered with wear-resistant fabric. The side walls are also partially covered, and the foldable shelf is still present for a bit of trunk space management. A partition wall with a mesh structure separates the cabin from the cargo. Sized 1,792 x 1,247 x 917 millimeters, the bay is 1,623 liters large and certified for 503 kilograms (1,110 pounds) of load.

Such modifications are quite popular in the UK and sometimes come based on more expensive cars. They are usually purchased by child-free families who have no need for five seats and would like to save money on the purchase and the taxes.

Powering the most basic version of the Duster LCV is a 1.0-liter turbo engine making 90 PS (89 hp / 66 kW), which is mated to the front wheels though a manual transmission. Paying premium gets you a 1.3-liter engine with 150 PS (148 hp / 110 kW) and two pedals instead of three, but still locked to FWD. The only option for you if you want AWD is a 1.5-liter diesel engine capable of 115 PS (113 hp / 86 kW).

Dacia presented the updated logo in mid-June this year, spreading it to its entire range of vehicles except for the Duster LCV. Now that the commercial minivan has also been updated, it will ship in the fourth quarter of the year and be available in a new shade of grey.
