Freshly made spy shots of the new Dacia Duster leave no doubt that the crossover SUV will strongly resemble the Bigster (see video) when it reaches production in Romania next year.
The prototype has started losing its test mule camouflage, revealing new headlights, the shape of the front bumper, vertical air intakes and boxy wheel arches. The c-pillar is visibly inclined, and there is a large tailgate spoiler that may or may not get downsized before production.
In all likelihood, Dacia is designing the new Duster on its CMF-B platform, which lends itself well to all powertrain types. As such, we wouldn’t be surprised if the SUV debuted as a hybrid.
