Dacia has revealed what its Spring subcompact CUV will cost in Hungary. The Europe’s most affordable battery car starts from 3,990,000 Forints there, which roughly corresponds to 12,950 USD or 10,940 EUR.
The price quoted above has all the applicable state subsidies already factored in. Without the governmental incentive, customers in Hungary would be looking forward to spending all of 6,490,000 Forints – 21,070 USD or 17,800 EUR.
Note that the pricing is only valid for the first production batch of 100 units. The company reserves the right to revise it either way after selling the first batch. It also remains a big question just whether other countries in Europe will get the Dacia Spring at the same general price point or not.
Powering the smallest EV is a single electric motor rated at 45 PS (44 hp / 33 kW) and 125 Nm (92 lb-ft). The traction battery can store up to 26.8 kilowatt-hours of power and has 225 kilometers (140 miles) of manufacturer-rated range.
