A new Dacia vehicle will celebrate its premiere on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. Based on the teaser, Motor1 believes that it will be the second generation of the company’s cheapest electric car – the Spring. It looks like both the exterior and the chassis are new.
The currently available Dacia Spring (see images 2–12 below and the video) has the same proportions and body outlines as the car in the teaser above. It looks like the Romanian automaker will keep the size intact while updating the design in the same vein as the latest Duster. In the end, the car might end up closer to crossover SUVs in terms of styling.
An upgraded EV architecture is also high on our list of expectations. A revised powertrain should make the new Spring faster on the uptake and better for long-range trips. The latest driving assists and multimedia features are also coming in the update.
The car should also be present at the Geneva International Motor Show kicking off in late February. The current generation starts from €18,400 in France and €22,750 in Germany, but Dacia is offering a hefty €10,000 discount on it in the latter country until the end of March.
