The quokka is a small marsupial from the kangaroo family that’s endemic for Australia, but it is also the name and the main theme of a very special Daihatsu Hijet RV series for Japan.
Open the sliding door on the side to discover an interior trimmed with wood from floor to ceiling. Mishima Daihatsu used Hinoki cedar for the trim and packed the RV with useful functions while at it.
For instance, there are four removable crates in the floor that you can use for a picnic outside. There is also a table that you can fold down under the floor when not needed. The rear end of the camper transforms into a bed 1830x1230 mm large (71.5”x48”).
In its standard specification, the Quokka packs a 100-Ampere-hour battery, a single wall socket, a number of USB ports and a heat fan. Mishima Daihatsu offers a wide range of options for it, including a fridge, a microwave oven, solar panels and more.
Prices start from ¥2,579,500.
