Next-gen Daihatsu Move announced at last

The next generation of the Japanese Kei car known as the Daihatsu Move was supposed to come out a couple of years ago, but a major safety scandal that erupted around Toyota and Daihatsu back then prevented the launch.

The new Move is now finally ready for the market, as these two teaser pics suggest. The full reveal will take place next month, but we can already see that it’s no longer hatchback-shaped, instead boasting a microvan profile with sliding doors at the back. 

Other major changes are likely coming, too, considering that the current – sixth – generation has lingered around for 11 years.
