Amalgam Collection has revealed a 1:8 reproduction of the Indycar Dallara IR-12 racer, which will come out in a series of 50 units worth $10,475 each.
The vehicle is 61 cm (24 inches) long and runs on a scaled-down version of the IR-12 chassis. It wears an IR-18 Aero body kit and an NT Indycar livery. Racing and replica enthusiasts alike may already order one, and the company points out it processes custom orders from those who would like a different livery.
If you find the pricing a bit too steep, you may want to wait until the summer, when Amalgam plans to launch a wide array of accessories in a collaboration with Indycar. Less detailed replicas may be available then, although this has not been confirmed yet.
Amalgam is a manufacturer specializing in making painstakingly precise and highly expensive replicas of vehicles. In December last year, it unveiled a copy of the Mercedes-AMG F1 racer (see video). Only seven such 1:4 replicas were built and sold for $35,000 USD each.
