Nostalgia-inducing Datsun 280Z restomod could be yours for €47,950

The Datsun 280Z counts among the most aesthetically refined Japanese sports cars, and this restored example is no exception – albeit it differs from stock in a few respects.

Originally imported into California in 1976, the car has since crossed another ocean and finally settled in the Netherlands. Its latest maintenance saw its paint coat refreshed in places, spoilers at both ends replaced with larger aftermarket counterparts, and wheels swapped out for gold-tinted ones with chrome rims.

Wheel arch extensions are the one detail we find not to our liking: made from cheap-looking black plastic, they feel out of place on the car and evoke associations with the less tasteful custom designs from the 1990s era. The wheels themselves are fine, however, as are BC Racing coilovers with their stiffer bushings and lower ride height.

The inside space of the revived 280Z comes wrapped in black vinyl just as the original did. The five-speed stick shifter boasts a wooden knob, and a stock 2.8-liter inline-six under the hood drives the rear wheels with 170 PS (168 hp / 125 kW).

The car has 31,961 kilometers (19,859 miles) on the odometer and can be obtained for €47,950, which seems to be in line with other recent offers.
