Who knows where the DeLorean DMC-12 would be if it were not for the Back to the Future trilogy? Anyway, one cannot rewrite history, and the sports car has been a cultural and popular icon since the 1980s. The DMC-12 Moceri depicted here takes the clunky steel ride with gullwing doors and molds it into something more.
Tuners took a battered DeLorean in for a bargain price so it would not be sent under the scrap press and conducted a large-scale restoration job. Aside from a completely restored exterior with LED lighting all around and sporty wheels, the car ended up with a brand new engine, dual Garrett turbos, a Turbo Smart blow-off valve, and Jg3d intake manifolds. A powerful 5.3-liter V8 under the hood comes linked to a Porsche 996 transmission.
The assembly is far from complete, but you can watch the video just to appreciate how much can be done with the DMC-12 to turn it into a modern sports car.
