ACEA, the European Automobile Manufacturers Association, has announced that diesel cars sold fewer units in June compared to all-electric ones, setting a new precedent.
According to the statistical data, petrol cars still reign supreme on the market of Europe with a share of 36.3%. Mild hybrids follow them with 24.3%, all-electric vehicles are also prominently represented with 15.1%, and diesel cars trail the rating with a low market share of 13.4%.
A total of 158,252 EVs has been sold in EU countries in June, the majority of them in the Netherlands.
