Speedkore unveils carbon-bodied Dodge Challenger Demon

As of 2018, the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon dragster series is no more – but tuners will hardly let it just fall into oblivion. A good example is Speedkore, who has released a carbon-bodied, stronger variant of the muscle car.

Both bumpers, a front splitter, fenders, mirror caps, door panels and quarter panels are all made of carbon. This naturally means a substantial weight loss for the car, but Speedkore provides no specific numbers.

Modifications have made their way under the hood of the dragster as well. The stock 6.2-liter HEMI V8 engine has received a much larger supercharger, a better cold air intake system, reworked fuel injectors, a new throttle body and a DiabloSport ECU remap.

As a result, the nominal output of the engine went up to ludicrous 1,200 hp (895 kW), which translates into 980 hp (731 kW) on the rear wheels.

Last but not least, the car gained a set of 20-inch HRE wheels clad in Pirelli P Zero Corsa racing tires.

In the future, Speedkore promises to equip its Dodge Challenger SRT Demon with a revised suspension and better brakes.
