Edge Customs unveils a typical Japanese take on the Dodge Challenger

We here at FormaCar can’t help but wonder whether this week is an International Dodge Week or something… How would you otherwise explain THREE custom Dodge Challenger builds coming out on the same day?

The job was handled by Japanese tuner shop Edge Customs. Its founder and owner, Noriyoshi Shinagazawa, is a big fan of American muscle cars and likes to design aero kits for them.

This particular Dodge Challenger received what the tuner called the “R-Line Package”. On the one hand, the kit looks pretty typical for the Japanese car market, what with the generous fender flares, grotesque proportions and exposed mounting points. On the other hand, it actually manages to look simple and organic. Note the neat front spoiler with side flaps, the modest-sized AP Racing splitter and the elegant side skirt extensions.

Then again, the general impression of style and (almost) understatement gets cut short by the enormous ducktail spoiler in the back. Oh well…

The body of the Dodge Challenger R-Line wears a Metallic Blue paintjob with black film applied to the sides and the bulging hood cover. The car stands on a set of Work Meister S1R forged wheels clad in Pirelli P Zero tires.

Rounding off the list of changes are new performance brakes and an AirREX air suspension kit lending the vehicle that special ‘slammed’ look.
