Video footage of a recent drag race showdown between the Japanese Nissan GT-R and the American Dodge Challenger Hellcat Demon has recently caught our attention. Both supercars look like they were born for short distance racing (and at least one of the two was, in a way), so predicting the outcome isn’t easy.
The Nissan takes advantage from a high-end performance boost. Texas-based tuner Jotech Motorsports fitted it with the Kaiju Stage 6 kit, raising the output at the crank to the cosmic 1,400 horsepower (1,044 kilowatts).
The Dodge hasn’t quite received the same treatment. Its only upgrade is an ECU tune, no details on which are being provided. The Demon sure is no slouch, but is it good enough to overcome the odds?
