Unofficial: The world’s last Dodge Challenger will pump out 900 HP

Like many other automakers, Stellantis is planning a gradual transition to electric motors. This means ditching the iconic Hellcat V8 engine powering the Dodge Challenger, among other cars, and reports are coming in that this could happen as soon as 2023 with the launch of a particularly beefy final edition.

Earlier reports claimed the 6.2-liter engine would undergo drastic modifications and run on E85 fuel with no problem. Now, Mopar Insiders is reporting that the block will produce 909 PS (896 hp / 668 kW).

If confirmed, this would make the last Challenger more powerful than even the SRT Super Stock (818 PS / 807 hp / 602 kW), the SRT Demon (852 PS / 840 hp / 627 kW) and the Direct Connection Special Edition (897 PS / 885 hp / 660 kW).
