Hennessey Performance has unveiled its latest work, the pretentiously titled Hennessey HPE1000 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody Jailbreak. Aside from the long-winded name, the car packs an upgraded V8.
Specifically, the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 has been tuned to deliver around 1,014 PS (1,000 hp / 746 kW) and 1,285 Nm (948 lb-ft) of torque to the wheels. This was accomplished thanks to a new supercharger, manifolds, ECU and other modifications. The team has not yet measured any sprint times.
The tuner already has a Challenger HPE 1000 in its portfolio, but this is the first time it worked with a Jailbreak model. Dodge introduced it last November, highlighting customizability as its main selling point compared to other high-end Challenger specials.
