Here’s how much the most expensive Dodge Challenger option costs

The ultimate Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 is not a cheap car, and ticking a paint option called Yellow Jacket just cost one owner $30,000 – around a third of the total car cost, Autoevolution reports quoting conversations on social media.

Dodge has a program running called Jailbreak, which enables select customers to pick exclusive paint coats for their cars. The available palette consists of 40 shades, including 20 purpose-designed ones and 20 retro colors matching those Dodge sprayed on all older generations of the Challenger. Apparently, picking any of these options adds a whopping $30,000 to the grand total.

There are other costly options on the list, too. Carbon-fiber wheels will set you back $11,495. A power sunroof will add $9,995, while matte-black exterior accents will lighten your account by a further $3,695. The base car itself costs $96,666 before any applicable taxes and fees.

The SRT Demon 170 spec went into production at a Dodge factory in Canada a few days ago. The company plans to make only 3,300 units – 3,000 for the United States and 300 for Canada.
