The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye is the muscle car paragon. Less than $100,000 buys you 800+ horsepower, a widebody kit straight from the factory, and crazy acceleration times. It takes being a madman to want more – or a tuner, such as the case might be.
Hennessey Performance is guilty of this particular Redeye. The company had long wanted to put the range-topping Challenger through its HPE1000 treatment, but never found the opportunity – until now.
The 2019/2020 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye provides the starting point for the upgrade. Mods include a massive new supercharger, an all-new exhaust system complete with the manifold and the catalysts, and a high-flow air intake system. As usual, the complete list is far more extensive than that and also mentions throttle valves, fuel injectors and an ECU tune. The net result is over 1,000 horsepower (750+ kW) under the hood, or 200 extra horses.
The tuning comes with a warranty valid for one year or 12,000 miles (ca. 20,000 km) of driving. But if you would like to fit your Dodge Challenger HPE1000 by Hennessey with a few personal touches, branded floor mats would be among the most exciting options on the list – the HPE is all about performance, after all.
