Dodge has revealed the Charger Widebody Concept at the SpringFest 14 currently held in Pomona, California, USA.
The super sedan comes based on the 717-horsepower (535-kilowatt) SRT Hellcat model and sports a unique body kit, including massive fender flares, a rear spoiler, and various other visual tweaks in front and in the rear.
While there is no official mention of a launch date, industry rumors insist that the car will likely go on sale later this year. If you just want the Widebody package, you will be able to purchase it separately for your SRT Hellcat or R/T Scat Pack.
The standard-issue Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat leaves the assembly line equipped with a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine. It needs 3.7 seconds to get going at 100 km/h (62 mph) and can ultimately rev up to around 330 km/h (205 mph). That said, the Dodge Charger Widebody kit might ship with a performance boost, making it stronger than the donor vehicle.
So far, the manufacturer has officially confirmed the following standard features: Line Lock, Launch Control, After-Run Chiller (used to keep the supercharger cool at all times), and Torque Reserve (builds up engine torque for when you need to perform a spectacular standing-start acceleration).
