North American muscle car manufacturer Dodge has announced a promotion titled Power Dollars. The company will refund $10 to all buyers of the 2019 Dodge Charger, Сhallenger and Durango vehicles multiplied by their horsepower rating.
Therefore, the Durango SRT, which packs 475 horsepower, will be sold at a U.S. $4,750 discount, the 707-HP Charger Hellcat at $7,070 below the list price, and the 795-HP Challenger Hellcat Redeye at nearly $8,000 less. However, Dodge is doing very well on the U.S. market as it is, ranking second in overall car sales volumes. Why the generosity?
According to Dodge Head of Passenger Cars Tim Kuniskis, the promo is little more than an opportunity for all fans of the automobile marque to purchase their own Dodge. That, and the company really feels like hitting the nice round number of 500,000,000 horsepower sold by the end of the current year. Right now, the counter is at 485,000,000, and the promotion might help score the remaining fifteen million pretty fast.
