You could buy this 1969 Dodge Charger or 2x Lambo Huracan

A 53-year-old Dodge Charger Daytona has just sold for an eye-watering sum of 418,000 USD, more than double the $206,000 price of a new Lamborghini Huracan. As usual, rarity and superb condition were the deciding factors.

Back in 1969, the company produced 503 Charger Daytona models with a distinct tapering cowl at the front end and a massive rear wing. Some shipped with V8 Hemis, but this example runs on a 7.2-liter Magnum V8 engine partnered with a Torqueflite auto transmission. The power output is at 375 PS (370 hp / 276 kW).

The seller believes that authenticity of all OEM-marked units and components of the car is what makes it so valuable. Allegedly, the first owner almost didn’t drive the coupe and kept it in their garage until 2001. The car then underwent a large-scale restoration that began in 2002 and lasted around a year.

The car comes loaded with factory options including a more robust rear axle, front disc brakes and an unusual interior trim in black and white. The exterior is also original in its combo of vivid green and white accents.
