Dodge Charger Daytona EV to debut on March 5

The all-electric Dodge Charger Daytona, which was partially revealed in photos last month, will enjoy its public debut on March 5, 2024, Motor1 reports quoting a company representative. Rumors claim it might bring up to 912 PS (900 hp / 671 kW) to the asphalt.

Dodge Senior VP Matt McAlear revealed in an earlier interview that the Charger Daytona EV was designed as a ‘next-generation muscle car’. Apparently, this meant that the engineering team didn’t pay too much attention to such parameters as drag ratio and electric range.

Based on the photos, the production car will look like the same-name concept unveiled in 2022 (see video), although not without certain production-friendly simplifications. For one thing, it will apparently ditch the side cameras in favor of traditional rearview mirrors.

If the concept car is any indication, the Charger Daytona EV will be arriving in multiple modifications to choose from. The cheapest version may produce something like 462 PS (456 hp / 340 kW), while the range-topping Banshee spec will utilize dual e-motors to hit the wheels with 800-900 American horsepower.
