Drag Race: Dodge Demon vs. Super Snake

The lifecycle of the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon was short, but it set a sort of a standard among badass road-legal cars. Having said that, the Shelby Mustang Super Snake is no slouch, either. So, which one do you think will dominate the drag strip?

Powering the Super Snake is a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 rated at a whopping 836 PS (824 hp / 615 kW), while the torque peaks at 854 Nm (630 lb-ft). The Demon packs a larger 6.2-liter V8 and churns out 818 PS (807 hp / 602 kW) along with mountain-moving 972 Nm (717 lb-ft) of torque.

On paper, you might be inclined to award victory to the Shelby convertible thanks to its slight power advantage and considerably lower weight. The first seconds of the first race would then reaffirm your suspicions – only to shatter them moments later when the Dodge wakes up to the challenge and shows who the boss is.
