Dodge gets its Durango SRT Pursuit ready for a weeklong race in the USA

SRT Engineering, a subdivision of car manufacturer Dodge, has made all the necessary tweaks in its Dodge Durango SRT Pursuit for it to be able to participate in the seven-day long race called the Tire Rack One Lap of America.

The three-row SUV concept gained several Mopar accessories along with the supercharged engine borrowed directly from a Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye.

The 6.2-liter, eight-cylinder power unit pushes out almost 810 horsepower (604 kW) along with 960 Nm (708 lbft) of torque.

The car packs a 4WD system and rides 15 millimeters (0.6 inches) lower than series. It also sports 20-inch wheels clad in performance tires, heavy-duty brakes, a low-drag stainless-steel exhaust, a megaphone, and a flashing beacon.

The engineer team removed the third seat row to minimize the weight of the vehicle, putting a roll cage in its place.

During the Tire Rack One Lap of America, the Durango SRT Pursuit crew will have to complete seven racetracks found in seven different U.S. states. In accordance with the rules, the crew will also have to travel from one racetrack to another using regular roads, abiding by all traffic regulations and receiving no third-party support of any kind. The team to achieve the best lap times will be proclaimed the winner.
