Check out the 1,012-HP Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat

Hennessey Performance toils night and day to stuff more horses under the hoods of cars that pack too many horses to begin with. Next on the list is the limited-run Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat, one of the world’s strongest SUVs that apparently isn’t powerful enough for some.

The HPE1000 supercharger upgrade has been available for most Hellcat V8 6.2 cars for a while now, and the contents of the Durango kit aren’t too different. There’s a 2.65-liter belt-drive charger system, performance-oriented intake and exhaust upgrades, new throttle bodies, optimized fuel injectors and a handful of other mods.

The result is 1,012 hp (755 kW) and up to 1,314 Nm (969 lb-ft) of torque hitting the crank. The massive crossover SUV darts from standstill to 97 km/h (0-60 mph) in 2.8 seconds instead of the factory-promised 3.5 and covers a quarter-mile strip in 10.8 seconds. The conversion comes with a warranty valid for one year or 12,000 miles (roughly 19,300 kilometers).

As usual, Hennessey did not bother with exterior upgrades, but you may watch the attached video to refresh what the stock Durango looks like.
