While electric crossovers continue to amaze with their sheer power and agility, their V8-packing ICE counterparts still aren’t too far behind. In the latest video by Throttle House, a Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat goes up against a Cadillac Escalade-V in a series of drag races.
The Dodge’s 6.2-liter V8 drives the wheels with 720 PS (710 hp / 530 kW) and 875 Nm (645 lb-ft) of torque. As impressive as the numbers may sound, it is worth keeping in mind that the car itself weighs 2,590 kilos (5,710 pounds). Having said that, the Escalade-V outweighs it with 2,820 kg (6,217 pounds) while having marginally less thrust at 691 PS (682 hp / 508 kW). The peak torque is slightly higher at 885 Nm (653 lb-ft), but will it be enough?
