Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, isn’t it? Perhaps that’s why the owner of this unique Dodge Magnum Projekt Mirrage hasn’t succeeded in selling it since 2017.
The price of U.S. $49,500 is at least partly to blame for this, considering that the car itself came out in 1978. The seller claims that it had remained stock until 1990, followed by 27 years of careful tuning. The result, which you see here, has scored multiple show awards and nominations.
The body design is perhaps the most controversial bit in the entire project: extremely long, like a canoe, with a chopped roof and only two doors, it won’t appeal to everyone. The main advantage comes in the form of 100% stainless-steel construction, with no plastic parts used throughout.
The technical aspect is actually quite impressive as well. The V8 under the hood gets a Mopar performance kit, the suspension is air-ride, and the brakes are Wilwood. No specific sprint times are available.
The cabin takes up to four passengers and features swiveling front seats, an up-to-date sound system with enormous subwoofers, colorful ambient lighting, and a gear selector that looks like something borrowed straight out of the aeronautical industry. The steering wheel and the dashboard are also custom.
So, how much would you be willing to pay for a restomod like this one?
