1941 Dodge Power Wagon restomod and daily driver brings home $270k

Someone just paid $270,000 USD for a modernized and tuned Dodge Power Wagon truck to drive it on a daily basis, despite it being 80 years old. Taking a detailed look at the project, we are not surprised at all.

The car now uses a 5.9-liter inline-six Cummins diesel to drive all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. Many drivetrain parts are either modified or new, enabling a top speed of 120 km/h (75 mph).

The cab, the bodywork and the front bumper with a winch are all custom-made, the rear doors swing open against the traffic, and LED lights have replaced outdated lamps in places. Suspension and wheels are likewise special.

Open the door to see new steering wheel and infotainment system, extra dash gauges, power windows, cruise control and AC. All four seats have been re-trimmed with bi-color leather, and the driver’s seat supports as many as eight power adjustments. The tuner went as far as to implement modern vibration and noise damping in the cabin.
