Hamad bin Hamdan al-Nahyan, an owner of an interesting car collection, has filmed a video dedicated to his latest acquisition: a white Crew Cab pickup with vague Dodge Ram 1500 looks, but much larger in size.
In reality, however, the car is a Stewart&Stevenson M1078, a mid-size tactical truck made at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries for the U.S. military. Its civilian conversion features a stretched chassis and normally comes powered by a Caterpillar 7.5-liter six-cylinder diesel in 275 and 330 PS (271 and 325 hp; 202 and 243 kW) versions. Outfitted like this, the car maxes out at just 94 km/h (58.4 miles per hour) in a straight line.
This specific example has an entirely different engine under the hood, which is said to be more powerful than that of the Ram 1500. We not have any further specifics.
Hamad bin Hamdan al-Nahyan acquired another exotic car for his collection less than a year ago: a stretched Jeep Wrangler Rubicon featuring a deluxe three-row, six-seat interior.
He also owns the world’s largest off-roader: the vehicle is 11 meters (36 feet) long, weighs a ridiculous 24 tonnes (53,000 lbs), has five axles, and propels itself forward with the help from a 15.2-liter diesel engine. A Jeep Wrangler body serves as its cab.
