Video: Tuner grants Dodge Viper GTS’s natural aspiration to perfection

Having come out in the early 2000s, the Dodge Viper GTS Coupe is all but classic now, and engine tuners generally prefer more recent models to work with. Nevertheless, someone actually thought tweaking the stock engine would be a good idea.

The rear-wheel-drive sports car rocks a massive eight-liter V10 which is naturally aspirated, limiting tuning options unless some kind of boost pressure is applied. Still, the crew behind this build decided to keep forced induction away from this one and instead tweak the existing components to raise torque across all RPM counts and eliminate torque dips.

The result is an engine that went from 415 PS (410 hp / 305 kW) and 610 Nm (450 lb-ft) to a stable 444 PS (438 hp / 327 kW) along with 655 Nm (483 lb-ft) of torque.
