Used Dodge Viper sells higher than a mint Porsche 911 GT3

A 2017 Dodge Viper with just 200 miles (~320 km) on the odo found a new owner last week who agreed to pay $273,775 for it. A new Porsche 911 GT3 track weapon starts roughly $30,000 below that.

The supercar was a rare ACR spec with Extreme Aero upgrades installed, so that explains the selling price to an extent. In its fifth generation, the Viper received a particularly robust body, 10-way adjustable suspension, carbon-ceramic brakes and a reworked drag profile.

The example sold additionally wore an OEM body kit including a different hood cover, a larger front splitter, an impressively sized diffuser and a giant rear wing with variable attack angle.

Back in its prime, the 8.4-liter V10 under the hood churned out 654 PS (645 hp / 481 kW) and 813 Nm (600 lb-ft) of torque. A six-speed manual transmission was tasked with carrying the torque to the rear wheels through a self-locking differential.

The listing notes such options as a luxury interior trim with leather, Alcantara and carbon fiber, HVAC, servo-assisted pedals, and a U-Connect infotainment system with an 8.4-inch display.

Judging by the manufacturing year, this Viper was among the last examples to roll off the assembly line before the supercar was officially discontinued in August 2017. A total of 2,427 Gen.5 units was made.
