The Mengshi M-Hero SUV produced in China by Dongfeng has received a special overlanding edition called Dragon Armor. AutoHome.cn warns that it was a show car built for Auto China and that the company declined further comment regarding its production prospects.
The new off-roader looks markedly different from the standard version with its aggressive body kit, lots of air intakes all around and wilderness-friendly accessories. These include a robust front bumper featuring a bull bar, a winch and towing eyes, carbon-fiber roof trims and a whole range of other options for different kinds of off-roading.
A look at the sides reveals racks that you can mount tools, gear and storage containers on. The show car in particular has an axe, a shovel and a fire extinguisher attached, but the company says you can carry water tanks and fuel cans just as easily.
Turbine-shaped wheels shod in off-road tires round things off on the outside. Dongfeng mentions a new interior trim as well, but we were unable to find detailed photos of it.
