Check out the presidential DS 7 Crossback

French automaker DS has unveiled the DS 7 Crossback Elysee tailor-made for Emmanuel Macron, the President of France. The car will be replacing a very similar DS 7 from 2017, and comes with a wide range of improvements over that one.

With an extra 200 mm (8 inches) of body length, the car is not 4,790 mm (187 inches) long with 2,938 mm (115 inches) between the axles. As a result, the second seat row has more legroom than ever.

Stock seats were thrown out to make room for much larger captain’s seats and an armrest in the middle. Power adjustments, heating and ventilation are all present, naturally, and there are also USB ports, paper holders, and a wireless charger pad.

On the outside, you will instantly recognize the presidential ride by its flag holders on the front fenders, a warning beacon behind the radiator grille, and France tricolor badges. An Ink Blue body goes well with black 20-inch wheels, and the glass all around is armored, but DS won’t tell us to what standard.

Power comes from a 1.6-liter turbo-four engine assisted by a rear-axle electric motor for 300 PS (296 hp / 221 kW), which is the standard OEM output of the DS 7.
