Exeed continues showcasing its latest design study called the AtlantiX. The SUV will never be released as is, but a simplified and more affordable version of it is expected to go into production this fall with Chery badging on it.
The video goes under the motto ‘Let There Be Light’ and largely focuses on the concept’s lighting. The logos all around are illuminated, the Matrix LED headlamps at the front are connected by a long strip, and the taillights consist of multiple angular light strips programmed to support animations. The radiator grille highlighted with LED triangles of all sizes might be an indication of the all-electric nature of the car.
Similar solutions are implemented at the rear end, where a complex LED strip links together the unitized brake lights. The interior has room for four and boasts ambient lighting of its own, as well as video cameras acting as side mirrors and a semi-autonomous driving system.
Chery, the master brand of Exeed, plans to launch production in Qingdao, China on November 18, 2022. The crossover SUV will be primarily designed for export markets, the manufacturer says.
