Automaker Chery has started taking pre-orders for its Exeed Sterra ES sedan in China. The final pricing remains to be announced, but the estimates lie between 260,000 and 360,000 Yuan – the base Sterra ES costs more than a maxed-out Exeed VX.
The car is 4,945 mm (193.1 in) long and 1,978 mm (77.3 in) wide with 3 meters (117.2 in) between the axles. The drag ratio is very low at 0.205.
Buyers can choose from three powertrains. The cheapest option offers a single motor and 252 PS (249 hp / 185 kW). The middle-ground spec has 313 PS (309 hp / 230 kW), and the top spec boasts two motors. The one at the front has the same 313 PS as above, while the one at the rear adds 167 PS (165 hp / 123 kW) of its own. For range, the manufacturer promises up to 720 km (447 miles).
