Chery has officially started the sales of its new all-electric sedan, the Exeed Sterra ES also known under its export name ‘Exlantix ES’. According to CarNewsChina, the domestic prices turned out lower than initially promised, but the export version may cost up to 1,000,000 Yuan (U.S. $140,000).
On its domestic market, the Sterra ES ranges from 225,800 to 339,800 Yuan. There are five trim levels and three powertrains with different battery sizes to choose from. The most basic single-motor version gets 252 PS (249 hp / 185 kW). The options in the middle get 313 PS (309 hp / 230 kW), and the GT flagship gets 480 PS (473 hp / 353 kW) from dual motors. The driving range may vary from 550 to 905 km (342–562 miles) depending on your chosen configuration.
The respective length, width and height are 4,945 x 1,978 x 1,480 millimeters (193.2 x 77.3 x 57.8 inches). The wheelbase is three meters (117.2 inches) long, and the drag ratio is 0.205 – lower than the Tesla Model S.
In terms of features, the Sterra ES comes with a 15.6-inch infotainment display, up to 23 audio speakers, air suspension and two wireless phone chargers.
Chery has already confirmed the intention to export the car to markets in Central Asia and Middle East.
