Exeed Lingyun (TXL) gets a tiny update in China

Exeed has refreshed its Lingyun (TXL) crossover for China heading into 2023, but the improvements are so few and far between, the price hike looks like the biggest change.

Compared to the pre-facelift version (see video), the 2023 Lingyun SUV looks exactly the same. You can now order it in two new shades called Green Metallic and Silver Metallic, but that’s it. Inside, there are still the same two displays, HVAC control panel and gearbox lever.

The interior trim is also available in a couple of new colors now, and the front passenger can now enjoy a pull-out footrest and a massager built into their seat. Opting for top-of-the-line audio now gets you a 12-channel Sony system. Air filtering is improved, and the sunroof with a hatch you can open is now included in the base trim.

If you are in the market for the 1.6-liter turbo version of the 2023 Exeed Lingyun (TXL), the price stays unchanged at 148,000 Yuan. If, however, you would like the 2.0-liter variant instead, you will be looking at spending 163,000 Yuan before options, a 5,000-CNY premium over the pre-facelift sticker for what are arguably negligent improvements. Of course, the choice is up to you.
