Chinese carmaker Exeed will be starting sales of a new, five-seat variant of its VX flagship SUV, which has so far only been available as a seven-seater.
The pricing will be lower than for the three-row version, Exeed says without disclosing any particulars.
Along with the new modification launch, Exeed facelifted the VX family. The design team made the radiator grille slightly bulkier than before, put vertical bars inside instead of horizontal, and got rid of some of the chrome trim. Customers may now opt for a new exterior shade called Dark Green Metallic.
The 1.6-liter turbo left the lineup for good – perhaps to prevent the VX from stealing sales from the more affordable TX/TXL model, which uses the same engine. The only option left for the VX now is a 2.0-liter engine mated to a seven-speed DCT for 261 PS (257 hp / 192 kW).
Inside, the console between the front seats is redesigned slightly. The small transmission joystick is gone, replaced with a larger version.
