Things have been going rough for Faraday Future all along, and now the aspiring automaker has once again delayed the production start of its very first EV – the FF 91 – to the end of March 2023. In reality, there is no guarantee anything will be shipped, as you will find out below.
According to Automotive News Europe, the first examples are set to be delivered to customers in April. The important thing to note is that the company hopes to have attracted additional investment to the tune of $150,000,000 USD by that time. It has been several weeks since the search for investors started, and less than a third of the amount has been secured so far – not a good sign from any perspective.
In its latest press release, the company also said it was able to improve almost 30 various components of the SUV, including the powertrain, the chassis, the interior, the battery pack and more.
In earlier news, EPA tested the three-motor top spec of the Faraday Future FF 91 for range. It found that the car, which commanded 1,050 PS (1,036 hp / 772 kW), was able to cover 613 km (381 miles) on a single charge, more than any Tesla Model X.
