Chinese car manufacturer FAW has released several official photos of its upcoming crossover vehicle, which is called the T77 and is going to become the most expensive model in its range. The car will go on sale before the end of 2018 under the Besturn brand name.
The Besturn T77 is a mass-produced variant of the T-Concept, which the company premiered in Beijing this spring. Note how the photos state that the brand actually reads “Bestune” and not “Besturn”. Guess we won’t know until the premiere.
Rumor has it that the car is 4,525 mm long, 1,615 mm wide and 1,845 tall with 2,700 mm of axle spacing. Its interior follows the new design philosophy recently adopted by FAW. There is a single large infotainment screen which includes the instrument panel, something you can also see on the latest Mercedes-Benz cars. It also comes a holographic assistant which pops up above the central part of the dashboard. Its actual capabilities and features aren’t being discussed yet.
The engine palette may end up consisting of a 1.5L turbocharged gasoline engine and its smaller V4 turbo counterpart with 143 hp (107 kW). This also isn’t official yet.
The Besturn / Bestune T77 should enter the market priced at U.S. $19,000 and above.
