The legendary Fast N’ Loud’s Ferrari F40 goes under the hammer once again

Richard Rawlings and Dennis Collins, both car enthusiasts and participants of the U.S. reality show called Fast N’ Loud, paid $400,000 in 2013 to acquire a wrecked 1991 Ferrari F40 supercar. They proceeded to restore the car to its former glory and sell it at an auction. Now it looks like the vehicle may need a new owner once again.

You may have heard of Richard and Dennis, or their tuner shop called Gas Monkey Garage. In the beginning, they had to disassemble the entire car and straighten its frame prior to re-assembling it back using numerous aftermarket parts to replace the broken ones.

While they were at it, they also outfitted their Ferrari F40 with a couple of improved turbochargers, an aluminum flywheel, a Kevlar clutch pack, a Tubi exhaust, Penske Racing shock absorbers, and HRE wheels. They then painted the entire car black, spurning the Italian manufacturer’s affection for red.

In 2014, the Ferrari F40 by Gas Monkey Garage fetched a healthy sum of U.S. $742,500 at an auction. However, the winning bidder resold it a year later for just $643,500. In late 2017, its owner was arrested on charges of bribery and had his possessions subsequently confiscated.

Richard Rawlings has already reacted to the news, saying he would ‘bid aggressively on the car’ to reclaim ownership.
