Ferrari has revealed its plans to announce a new mid-engine hybrid supercar sometime in 2019. Once out, the car will become the new flagship of the Ferrari Sport family, which currently includes the 812 Superfast and the 488 GTB.
Ferrari CEO has personally confirmed the plans to launch production of the new and still nameless vehicle. He said it will get a hybrid powertrain composed of a gasoline V8 and an electric motor. Its output is being estimated at 720 hp (537 kW) and 770 Nm (568 lbft) of torque.
The manufacturer will hold a dedicated event to reveal the car, but its date remains unknown.
Overall, Ferrari plans to launch 15 new models within the next three years. This includes “highly special” versions of the Icona, the four-door version of the GT, and a few all-new two-seat supercars.
