Video: Ferrari F8 Tributo showing crazy drift stunts

A video has recently been uploaded on YouTube showing the new Ferrari F8 Tributo drifting on a race track. The street-legal Italian supercar is the direct successor of the 488 GTB.

The Tributo leaves the factory armed with the strongest V8 Ferrari has ever designed, namely a 3.9-liter turbo unit rated at an impressive 720 hp (537 kW). The vehicle needs 2.9 seconds to get rolling at 100 km/h (62 mph) and only maxes out at 340 km/h (211 mph).

One of the main features of the new Ferrari F8 Tributo is called Side Slip Angle Control. It helps control the car when it starts drifting.

The exterior design of the vehicle represents a modern reinterpretation of classical sports cars of the 20th century. For instance, the see-through hood cover is a clear homage to the iconic F40, while the rear spoiler looks inspired by the 308 GTB issued in 1975.

Compared to the 488 GTB, the F8 Tributo exhibits 10% less aerodynamic drag. The company claims that the engineers who designed it used innovative solutions and technologies found in the professional motorsports industry.
