Elton John’s Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona to go under the hammer

A unique Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona that has belonged to Elton John from 1973 till 1975 will be put up for sale at the Dallas Burston Polo Club in Great Britain next month. According to estimations, the famous singer’s one-time ride may fetch as much as £425,000.

Aside from the vehicle itself, the winning bidder will be getting the entire document package, the maintenance logbook, the certificates and the order blanks. Oh, and the counter states there is 132,000 kilometers (82,000 miles) under the belt of the vintage ride, so an overhaul may be in order.

The Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona comes powered by a twelve-cylinder engine with 4.4 liters of displacement and 353 horsepower (263 kilowatts). The manual states it needs no more than 5.1 seconds to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) from standstill, and the top going speed amounts to an impressive 280 km/h (174 mph).
